Patch My PC

Generally, when patches or updates for software applications are released, the developers roll out new features and address security problems. This means that by staying with outdated applications you’re missing out on new functionality and you’re putting your system at risk. Patch My PC aims to address this situation by scanning your system and uncovering which applications need to be patched. Applications marked as red on the program’s interface need to be updated, applications marked as green are patched and up-to-date, and applications listed in black are not installed on your machine – these are useful applications that you may want to get. So to sum it up, Patch My PC checks for updates for installed applications and it offers to get more useful applications – on top of that, it can also check for any available Windows updates.

To get Patch My PC up and running, you will have to go through a standard setup process. This means you will have to download an executable (a very small one, less than 1MB in size), run it, and then follow the onscreen instructions presented to you by a setup wizard.

Patch My PC features a tabbed interface: tabs for all the features, functions, and options are presented at the top. Buttons for accessing the Common Updates, Other Software, Options & Tools, and Windows Update features are presented in the left hand side. And the Re-Check Software and Perform Update buttons are presented in the lower right hand corner.
